Spears 857-C Series CPVC Pipe Fitting, Union with Viton O-Ring, Schedule 80, 2" Socket

The Spears 857 series union is made of schedule 80 CPVC, has a flange end and a female NPT end, an FKM O-ring, joins two pipes, and is suitable for waste water systems in residential applications. This fitting is made of CVPC (chlorinated polyvinyl chloride) for better resistance to corrosion and to higher pressures and temperatures than PVC (polyvinyl chloride). CPVC can be connected to other materials, such as steel or copper, using transition fittings. This union fitting has three pieces and includes a threaded connection that can be screwed or unscrewed to connect or disconnect pipes more easily than with a coupling and has an FKM (fluoroelastomer) O-ring suitable for use with a variety of fuels and chemicals. The fitting connects to pipes using female socket connections that slip over the end of male unthreaded pipes for enhanced flow of materials. Its maximum internal pressure is 235 pounds per square inch (psi) at 73 degrees F with a temperature range of 73 to 200 degrees F (23 to 93 degrees C). This union fitting meets American Society for Testing and Materials International (ASTM) D2467 for quality assurance, National Sanitation Foundation International (NSF)/American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Standard 61 Annex G for potable water, and conforms with lead content requirements for "lead free" plumbing as defined by California and Vermont.
